The Princess and the Goblin – I’m hooked on George MacDonald! Fantastical story.
When Helping Hurts: Alleviating Poverty Without Hurting the Poor and Ourselves – Written by my college mentor, a must read for anyone interested in seeing the church serve the poor.

Anna Karenina – Amazing and capturing as always.
Johnathan Strange & Mr. Norrel – Eh, I wouldn’t read it again nor necessarily recommend it.
Pictures from the Watertrade – Very interesting look into Japanese culture in the mid-1980’s in the form of a travelogue.
Running in the Family – Vignettes based on the history of the authors relatives in Ceylon. Pretty good.
The Man Who Was Thursday – Fun and engrossing.
