I periodically clean and organize the pantry to find the not-oft used staples that hide in the back and to remind myself what we have in abundance and what we’re running low on.
Today I found the abundance. Three cans of Hershey’s Cocoa. One can nearly full and two unopened. One of which I just bought last week in the hope of making Jeannie’s hot chocolate.
On that same shopping trip, I also bought a bottle of molasses. This morning I found another unopened bottle. Because, you never know when you’re going to need bottles and bottles of molasses!
Other than that, I think we have normal amounts of all other pantry items.

I tend to buy lots of nutmeg. Apparently I see it in the grocery store and think, “Oh! I MUST need more nutmeg.” Then I bring it home and add it to the other nutmegs on my shelf. I have a nutmeg family. Maybe they could hang out with your cocoa family and produce delicious-tasting baked goods.
Someday you should ask my Mom about her BBQ sauce buying habits. We always used to get a good laugh out of those.
Must be in the air, because in was in major pantry cleaning mode today.
I think I have accumulated about 12lbs of powdered sugar, and bags and bags of white chocolate chips. For the gingerbread houses and the peppermint barks I intended to make over the holidays….
Cocoa just looks good in a pantry! I, also, have cleaned my cabinets. Spring must be early this year.
You can never have too much cocoa.
